each of us
plays a role
many roles
in all aspects of our lives
sometimes we wear masks
other times we bare our soul
oft times, the roles,
are played merely to learn
now, then, sometime
and that’s all it is
sense or nonsense
we still chart on
finding the balance
between a selfish life
and selflessness
that fine line
more than oft
will be crisscrossed
thus is a part
of the spirit
having a human experience
